No need for mains power. Powered by 8 no C cell batteries (supplied) which last for over 12 months, the unit also has a low battery warning light which comes on when there is 50 hours of battery life left.

The translucent 5 litre or 20 litre containers which sit in a steel cradle enable instant & easy check of fluid levels.

IP 65 Rating which is dust and waterproof against strong jets of water, the pump can also be fitted outside if required.

How much Liquid will I need to use?

Liquid can be added automatically through Caterlink’s Bio Draincare 75 Dosing Pump.

What does Government Legislation* say?

The Building Regulations 2000 (H1 Foul water drainage - 2.21) as amended 2002. Requires that all kitchen drainage in commercial hot food premises should be fitted with an effective means of grease removal.

Careless disposal of waste fats/oils into drainage systems, land or watercourses is an offence. Section 111 of the Water Industry Act 1991 makes it illegal to permit any substance, which may interfere with the free flow of the sewerage system, to pass down any drain or connecting to a public sewer. Blockages can be costly and inconvenient to clear and could lead to substantial fines.

Examples of fines:
February 2007 - School, Gloucestershire - Fines and costs £7,616
January 2007 - Indian Restaurant, Stevenage - Fined £15,000
January 2007 - Pub Restaurant, Wiltshire - Fines and costs £34,881
May 2006 - Chinese Restaurant, Cambridgeshire - Fines and costs £15,726

In this day of increased costs Water Authorities are tightening their consent to discharge limits. Using Bio Draincare 75 helps you meet these tough targets.
